I find myself negotiating a myriad of emotions to find the perfect words to express my deepest appreciation for the love of my life

For the love that gives me life

And although God himself created me,

He made sure to give me your rib

Now, While I am my own entity

I still suffer from dependency

Because it is you that dwells in me

If there is no you there is no me

For I have loved you with every piece of me

I have loved you completely

So much so that I’m convinced that you complete me

The thought of losing you makes me weak

When you’re away I can barely sleep

I crave your presence

And if it’s not with you, I cant eat

It’s the equivalent to a deficiency

Living in your absence

Is to live insufficiently

Like a blanket swaddling a child

I have wrapped myself in you

You are the cocoon that has turned me into a butterfly

It is you that has given me wings to fly

I can go on and on but we’d run out of time

I guess what I’m really tryna say is that your love is sublime

You will forever be mine

And in the event that I can’t have all your love

I want you to know that you have all of mine.
